Dose of Protection, 2013
The Dose of Protection project consists of the execution of a transgression within a very complex context, the public space. A series of Investigation of the public space, and the different transgressions already existing in it allowed me to observe how the public space is privatized through objetuales or architectural elements and as its accumulation, is the so-called "public space."
This contradiction of public space is also reflected in social relations, as we constantly feel the need to mark and limit our own space through individualization. My great interest in our way of acting (within the public area) allowed me to focus on the creation of a space to promote such individualization.
"Dose of Protection" is a structure in the form of a reversible skirt with plastic rods that allows to voluntarily facilitate the lack of company. It is a barrier, which for a moment yields the possibility of liberation and silence thus developing, the reflection of the individual outside his environment. The action of sheltering, allows to show the most intimate area of the user, generating a contradictory game that bothers the companion by raising awareness about his need for solitude.
